Ability Camp

Ability Camp is a faith-based sleep-away camp designed for adults (18+) with disabilities. Our hope is that camp offers a haven where individuals can experience joy, belonging, and spiritual growth. Campers build life-long friendships with peers and counselors, while experiencing the fun of activities like archery, go karts, fishing, swimming, art, and so much more.

We had a blast at Ability Camp 2024 and are already planning 2025! Registration will open later this year. Stay tuned!

Making Community Possible for Adults with Disability in Arkansas

Becky & Micah's Story

"Our son graduated from High School when he was 20. We took our time and there were some medical complications thrown in, but we weren’t in a hurry for graduation because we really didn’t know what the next step was for him. He is smart and loves to learn but is fully dependent on others for self-care as a result of his cerebral palsy. After the fun of the cap and gown was over, he was home, full-time. For three years. A darkness began to shadow his usual cheerfulness and his eyes weren’t as bright. (But that’s his story to tell.) Then we found Ability Tree’s Connections University. Through this program he has developed genuine, authentic friendships, been given the opportunity to take top-notch, intellectually stimulating courses through JBU, and gently coached to make personal goals for his life.  This program is more than a blessing, and his bright, sparkling eyes are proof of that."
